Sweet Spring Surprise

Last week while I was sitting in my porch swing, I looked across the patio and noticed something different about this tree.

This little American Redbud tree has grown a nest!!

When I first peeked into it last week, it was empty so I assumed that since it was so close to our patio the momma bird must have abandoned it.

But yesterday, I took another peek and here's what I saw

Beautiful, isn't it!

I'll keep my peeking to a minimum now that I know the momma bird is definitely starting her household here so as not to disturb her.

Such a sweet surprise in my backyard!

Today is another material run to Lowe's to get things for the construction project.  We try to make the best of these trips since we're heading all the way to civilization town (an hour's drive) and have a nice lunch out and perhaps a movie.

So, I guess I need to get moving because I still have to take a bath and my husband left this note on the counter.  If you're a fan of "Everybody loves Raymond" you'll probably understand.  This person uses it, too!  :)

We had swallows that nested in the eaves under our patio three years runnning. It was wonderful to watch them.

Love the AIS idea! I might try it here.
