Flat on my back

I seem to have pushed myself a bit too far over the past few days.  Between hunching over my sewing machine and cutting table and then spending most of yesterday helping my husband up at the house project, I pulled a muscle in my lower back and now I'm stuck - flat on my back trying to heal somewhat before tomorrow.  I've got a lot of cooking to do tomorrow so I need to get better!  I also got an email from our oldest daughter yesterday asking for prayer as she has been very sick since 4:30 AM yesterday (the yukky stuff).  And my mom arrived yesterday with a chest cold, congestion and laryingitis.....looks like we'll probably be having a "sick" Christmas this year.
But, that's OK, because some people have it worse this year....think of those people in California that have a house full of mud!  Sometimes all it takes for me to get my priorities straight and realize how blessed I am, despite uncomfortable circumstances, is to be made aware of others who are really experiencing some tough times.
So, here I lay, with my mother and dear little brother, Frankie, next to me in my bed, watching a cooking show on PBS...it's not often I get to just do nothing, so I guess I can deal with it!
So, did you guess what I made for myself?
I think Pokey got it right when she guessed a robe!
It is so soft and so warm I hate taking it off!  I chose a light gray color since my last one was dark blue and it showed every one of the gray hairs I shed on a regular basis - this one will hide those hairs better!

Passing on a little Christmas cheer, here's a cute video...don't think Frankie would sit still thru this!

Oh my goodness, that cat is the sweetest and most docile!! :o) There is no way mine would ever go for that. And that face!! Too cute, as he looks up at the camera. :o)
Gosh Jenn, I hope you feel better soon! So sorry about your back. Enjoy your snuggle time! :o)
Your robe is beautiful! I chickened out on giving my ideas about what you were sewing. :o) You really did a beautiful job!! :o) I laughed about your last robe being navy blue, mine is black (it has coffee cups all over it and cute little sayings - a Christmas present from my children, several years ago) and between my white cat and my every changing hair color (complements of God's hands), it needs a constant air fluff in the drier! :o)
Merry Christmas.
Sincerely - "Tricia Anne"

So my laptop bag guess was way off the mark!

The robe is truly gorgeous. Looks snuggly too!

I hope you are recovered enough to enjoy your day with family and friends. Merry Christmas!

It's a beauty, you should've modeled it in your cold and all :-}
Thank you for sharing the video, and you have it right; we all need to look closer at what we have, instead of what's not here. Or in the case of those CA neighbors of mine, that mud isn't in our living room!
Many Christmas Blessings, Jenn! :-}pokey

Oh Jenn, I'm so sorry to hear about your back and that your household may be a sick household at Christmas. Not fun. I'm hoping Santa can drop some magic dust over your home and everyone wakes up feeling better on Christmas morning.
